Why Choose On The Fly?

Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a highly specialized and complex technique. It requires experience, precision, and a deep understanding of each child’s unique needs. No two children are the same, which is why every treatment plan must be personalized and thoughtfully designed.

At On The Fly, your child will always work with highly trained, experienced therapists who are committed to excellence.

At On The Fly DMI, every child receives:

Therapy Designed Just for Your Child

Each child receives a minimum of two hours of focused DMI therapy per day, allowing for consistent repetition, skill building, and meaningful neurological progress.

Every program is customized to align with your child’s needs and your family’s goals, creating a clear and intentional path forward.

Comprehensive Evaluation

Progress happens best through trust and engagement. We build strong connections and incorporate fun, meaningful elements to keep your child motivated and confident.

We begin with a thorough review of your child’s abilities, medical history, and current function to ensure therapy is both safe and strategically targeted.

Level C or Higher

Level C is the recommended level for delivering DMI due to the technique’s complexity and depth.

Therapists who complete Level C:

  • Understand the full developmental sequence

  • Have access to the complete set of DMI exercises

  • Can appropriately progress and modify exercises

  • Execute techniques with precision for optimal results

Levels A and B do not encompass the entire developmental progression. Mastery requires extensive hands-on experience across a variety of patients.

By choosing a Level C or higher therapist, you are ensuring a higher level of expertise, safer execution, and stronger outcomes for your child.

“Many families see more progress in one intensive than in a full year of traditional therapy.”

Frequently Asked Questions

We also accept grants. There are many grants available for children receiving intensive therapy.

  • We are willing to travel anywhere, however, we do obtain our license in each place we travel, so we will need ample notice for countries outside the US.

  • We strive to have 8 hrs booked at each intensive per therapist. This will help keep travel costs lower for families. So with 1 therapist traveling, that is room for 4 children, 2 therapists traveling that is room for 8 children, with each child getting 2 sessions per day.

  • Yes, we are happy to offer Telehealth sessions, completing a very quick, general assessment and then will provide you with a few exercises to get you started. We are also happy to offer zoom calls to previous clients to review or modify their HEP. Please contact admin@ontheflydmi.com if interested.

  • All DMI mentorship sessions must be booked through the DMI website. Jennell is also able to offer mentoring for therapists who are seeking to improve handling skills, treatment ideas, or just need some advice on a patient. Please email admin@ontheflydmi.com to book a mentoring session with Jennell.

  • We do require a parent or caregiver to be present during the session, unless otherwise determined by the therapist. The last 2 days of the intensive are very crucial for parent participation in order to learn and practice the home exercise program.

  • Your child should start right away. Early intervention is very important to improve neurological pathways. The therapist will introduce proper movement patterns to your child and prevent bad habits from forming.

  • If your child is at or over 45 lbs, a video consult will be required prior to booking for the therapist to determine if they are appropriate for this intervention. If the child is 45 lbs but is able to stand independently or walk with minimal assistance, the weight limit won’t be a factor. If your child is 45 lbs and needs full assistance, there might be better options for your child. Your therapist will be able to guide you in the right direction during the zoom call.

  • There really isn’t an age limit. It depends more on the size and ability of the child and if the therapist can safely handle them.
